Our Lady Eve, a praise within the book titled, “Misguided: Black Mythology”. The book was written to create sort of a “Neo-religion” for Black Americans. The concept was to recreate a symbol that the future of Black Americans use to rally and birth a new generation. During the process of the book, an exhibition was formed to showcase works that can reflect and idea around symbolism and spiritually. Our Lady Eve, is mentioned in the short story, “Long live the Queen”, as the Goddess Eve, the first (Nero) Goddess born in American territories. In the book, Black Americans are identified as “Nero”. Eve ancestral bloodline of the God AKongo, is illustrated as having the ability to fight with the strength of two Hercules and the wisdom of 100 men. She looks after her people as they are arriving to a new land as lost men and women. The design of Eve was created with the help of artist Ryan Rhodes of the lifestyle brand company LAND.
