It all begins with an idea. The Year of the Circus exhibition was first on view in Sydney, Australia, 2017. The exhibition displayed works from Moradoh that expressed images of childlike freedom and memory. The concept was to articulate a story of holding onto your belief and drive amongst a circus of events that are thrown at us while maintaining yourself as the “Ringleader” within these enviornements. The “Ringleader” in this instants was the mascot of the show, “Mr. Morado, The Purple Elephant”. Mr. Morado, an elephant who enjoyed menacing yet risky activities that pushed his capabilities and challenged him to be more of his unique self. Throughout the works illustrated with Mr. Morado, he is shown keeping his composure while holding a graceful smile.
